Sternenherz is a small, independent, family-run workshop.

We have 5 Camper Vans: Pokémon, Bubble, Snowwhite, Röde and Bumblebee. Each of them is built to be as beautiful and functional as possible, with an architect’s eye and a carpenter’s heart. Our aim is to build tiny rolling  homes where you can simply be yourself: designed with joy and functionality, ready to stay, ready to go. We really love our vans – and we care for our guests.   • Roadside Assistance 24/7
  • Daily Base Rate: Varying by Van and High season (75–98 €) and Low season (61–75 €).
  • Ready-to-Roll Bundle (handover, cleaning, cooking gas): 50€
  • Mileage: 150 km per day (included)
  • Security Deposit 500 €: Held for the time of your trip, returned when the van is returned and safe at Base.
  • Additional Driver: 30 € (Flat fee)
  • Bed Sheet Set: 60 € / set (Röde: additional beds 20 € / bed)
  • Bikes: 10 € / day / bike (bike rack included)
  • Bike Rack (without bikes): 4 € / day
  • SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard): 5 € / day
  • SUP 12V Electric Pump: 2 € / day
  • High Chair (Ikea Antilop): 1.50 € / day
  • Maxi Cosi (Child seat up to 13kg): 2 € / day
  • Extra Mileage: 0.30 € / km (calculated at check-out)
  • 1–6 Days – Quick Escape: Short-stay fee 70 € applies
  • 7+ Days – Nordic Rhythm Short-stay fee is removed.
  • 10+ Days – Free Adventurer: Fee removed & €50 off your total.
  • 14+ Days – Northern Explorer: Fee removed & €100 off your total.
  • 21+ Days – Arctic Nomad: Fee removed & €200 off your total

Even though we travelled during autumn Pokémon could be a warm tiny home for us for a week 🙂

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to try out traveling in your Campervan with our 10-month old son. It was a great experience! The van had everything we needed and the equipment worked well. We liked that we could sit with the three of us in the front, also with the baby car seat. The tarp for rainy days was valuable and the whole cooking equipment very good! Also the fridge and its system to charge (during driving, solar, or socket) worked well for us to go without campground for a few days. The van is organized in a great way with the foldable bed, boxes under the bed and lots of storage space in the shelves next to the bed. Heater we only needed once during traveling in northern Norway in the summer. Great experience close to nature, to be repeated! 🙂 Also the contact with Jussi was super easy and friendly, and he was available when needed. Excellent!

With a Sternenherz Campervan, you decide your journey: no hotels, no schedules, no fixed routes. Wake up beside a tranquil lake, hike remote trails, drive along coastal islands, or chase the midnight sun. 

Many of our travelers also take their vans to Sweden, Norway, or the wider Baltic region, exploring fjords, northern skies, and scenic coastlines. With Helsinki as your starting point, your Sternenherz  is ready to carry you anywhere in Finland, across Scandinavia — or even beyond.

Rental Terms – Summary

  • Minimum renter age: 21 years
  • Minimum driving experience: at least 1 year
  • Valid driving licence required (European Class B or equivalent) 
  • Children are allowed. 
  • Festival use is allowed. 
  • Not allowed: Pets, Smoking, out of area travel. 

  • A 25% booking deposit is paid at the time of booking

  • The remaining balance must be paid 60 days before rental start

  • Bookings made less than 60 days before start must be paid in full

  • A security deposit of 500 EUR is required

  • The security deposit is paid separately at the start of the rental and refunded immediately after return, subject to inspection

  • Free cancellation more than 60 days before rental start
  • 75% refund for cancellations 30–60 days before start
  • No refund for cancellations less than 30 days before start
  • Unused rental days are refunded if the journey ends early due to technical issues not caused by the renter
  • Pick-up place: Käpylä, Helsinki, or Nikkilä, Sipoo.
  • Pick-up and return times are agreed with the owner
  • Standard check-in time: 17:00
  • Standard check-out time: 11:00
  • The vehicle must be returned on time and in agreed condition 
  • Fuel: Tank is full at pick-up — please bring it back full.
  • Comprehensive insurance is included
  • Insurance provider: IF Insurance
  • Deductible: 500 EUR
  • The renter is responsible for damage beyond normal wear
  • Roadside assistance and towing are included, IF Road assistance 010 19 18 40 (24/7)
  • The owner will do their best to assist in case of a breakdown or accident between 9:00 and 18:00, and may also help outside these hours if possible.
  • Replacement vehicle may be offered if near enough to Helsinki and an alternative is available. 

To help the van stay cozy for the next adventurers, we ask renters to do a quick basic cleanup before returning the van:

  • Empty the refrigerator

  • Remove all trash

  • Empty the toilet

  • Sweep and tidy the van

If the van is returned without these basics done, additional cleaning fees may apply.
